Traffic collision is an accident that happens when two vehicles hit each other with force. It often results in injuries, property damages, and deaths.Nowadays, the issue of this traffic problem has been very popular in Indonesia. Not only does it happen in big cities, but it sometimes happens in suburbs as well. People believe that there are four main causes of this kind of accident. First of all, it’s caused by the the existance of many vihicles on roads. Most people prefer using their private vihicles to using public ones. It is due to the fact that everyone can now get a vihicle easily because there are saveral easy ways that people can use to get those transportation tools. For example, they are likely to buy vihicles by uisng credit methods via any banks or some other institues which provide loans. In addition, they can also get their driving licenses without any difficult tests. Those two thing make people interested in buying some vehicles. As a consequence, Many traffic accidents happen. Secondly, it is because many drunkards who drive cars carelessly. When they are under the influences of alcohol or approaching the borderlines of the legal intoxication, they have poor muscle coordinations affecting their balances, speeches, visions, and hearings, so that they will find themselves more difficult to detect dangers and exibite self-controls, reasoning abilities, and memories. Therefore, they can not focus on what they are doing,so that they never feel afraid of crashing other vihicles. Consequently, the ways they drive cars often dirtub other people’s ways. This is actually the most frequent thing that effects traffic collisions. Another thing which can cause this kind of problem is an equipment failure. It actually becomes the reason why manufacturers are required by law to design and engineer vehicles that meet minimum safety standards. The problem that frequently happens in Indonesia is that some owners, who love to ride or drive their vehicles themselves, modify their vehicles without thinking about the determined minimum safety standards. That carelessness can make their vihicles unstable, so that the vehicles can lead the owners into traffic accidents. Last of all, some people often ignore traffic signs which have been there for so long that no one thinks about what they mean. Those signs are now often ignored by some people. They would prefer to continue running their vihicles rather than wait for the right time to go. Besides, they like to go with their vihicles on their own ways better than obey the rules detemined by the goverment. This is actually the most dangerous thing to do, because people are obliged to stop their vihicles whilst the signs are saying so. Furthermore, if some people continue running their vehicles, they will endanger other people who are in the opposite positions.For that reason, ignoring traffic signs can cause traffic collisions. In conclusion, those four things are what become the main causes of traffic collisions. However, those collisions can still be avoided by making the ways to get a driving licence more difficult, preventing people from driving when they are under the influences of alcohol, obeying minimum safety standards and traffic regulations determined by goverment. Those safeties, which depend on how they behave on roads, determine how well the can live their own lives. Therefore, people should take care of themselves.
